Start thinking differently

2 Cor. 2:15-17 -   15For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task? 17Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God.

Think in terms of all men being saved

Gen 12:1-5

 1 The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.

 2 "I will make you into a great nation
       and I will bless you;
       I will make your name great,
       and you will be a blessing.

 3 I will bless those who bless you,
       and whoever curses you I will curse;
       and all peoples on earth
       will be blessed through you."

 4 So Abram left, as the LORD had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Haran. 5 He took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated and the people they had acquired in Haran, and they set out for the land of Canaan, and they arrived there.

Trade the evangelism mindset for a blessing strategy

Give someone the opportunity to cross over into New Life

My Response:

1)      Shift your thinking from blessing those who are like you to blessing everyone

2)      Think in terms of sharing God’s heart (his kindness) not passing out judgment information or judgment

Romans 2:4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?

3)      Look for places to share God’s divine favor in everyday life

4)      Recognize places to connect in new and different ways

5)      Never underestimate what you have to give
